Happy 79th Anniversary 698!

On February 18, 1942, AFT Local #698 was chartered as the Macomb County Federation of Teachers. Over the past 79 years, our local has been a leader in the local area, the state, and the nation--including the first successful teachers' strike in the United States! Read more about our history.

And the 75th...

Hopefully by this time next year we'll be able to mark the 80th anniversary of the chartering of AFT Local #698 with a gathering as the Eastpointe Federation of Educators!

Through triumphs, challenges, and name changes, one thing has remained--the dedication of our teachers and paraprofessionals to provide excellent education for our students.
